Houston's Weekend Planning Guide
is updated continuously
We are approaching what many of us like. Our holiday season with days off from work, (besides the weekend) spending more time with family and friends.
It's a make-or-break time for many retailers, especially after a worldwide pandemic.
This is weekend 43 with our elections ending and a few run-offs in some states.
Are we (you) getting tired of traditional and digital media and its analysis of what is going on with our Democracy? I mean the extremeness.
Media people such as myself are concerned they're (our big news outlets; no, I am not talking cable news, they're the most awful doing what I am talking about . . .) not giving much separation between news, (objective information) commentary, (editorials, story analysis and opinions) and discussion, (radio and television news/talk programs).
There are really big distinctions in all of it. I think it’s the amateur citizen internet blog journalists, creating some confusions, with professional traditional news outlets not helping us, separate their blog products.
The reason I 'm concerned. I used to be one those people (a producer of radio and television news and managed a weekly newspaper). I put the shows and broadsheets (newspapers) together with my teams.
It was formidable responsibility, trying to weight what the news executives wanted and accommodating the news sales people at the same time.
If you folks know what I know. I think you might stop watching and listening to traditional media outlets, especially cable.
It's my opinion. Now see how I did not make my opinion a fact by just stating it as opinion. It's just that simple. Really. See. JWM
This weekend check out Pancakes and Booze. The promoters call it one of the largest pop-up live music and arts movements to hit North America over the past decade. They celebrate with free pancakes while introducing what they call some of the nation's leading emerging talent. It all starts at The Ballroom at Warehouse Live Saturday night (Click Here) for more information.
