(From All Music.com-Andy Kellman) A forthright lyricist and understated vocalist who has singled out the likes of Minnie Riperton and Mýa as two of her many inspirations, Ari Lennox has been the one-artist R&B contingent of J. Cole's Dreamville roster since 2015. The singer and songwriter made her commercial debut on the label in 2016 with the Pho EP, followed in 2019 by her first album, Shea Butter Baby, which reached number seven on Billboard's Top R&B Albums chart. She appeared on Dreamville's Grammy-nominated Revenge of the Dreamers III compilation and issued a remix EP before she scored a number one hit on the Adult R&B Songs chart with "Pressure." That single heralded the 2022 arrival of her second album, age/sex/location.

Pressure
Originally from Washington, D.C., Ari Lennox (born Courtney Shanade Salter) made her first moves during the first half of the 2010s with the Five Finger Discount mixtape, the Ariography EP, and tracks such as "Bound" -- all of which she uploaded from 2012 through 2014. In 2015, she began an alliance with J. Cole's Interscope-affiliated Dreamville label through a featured appearance on Omen's "Sweat It Out" and a showcase on the Revenge of the Dreamers II compilation standout "Backseat." The next October, Dreamville issued Lennox's Pho, an EP that entered Billboard's R&B/hip-hop chart at number 40, led by the Hollywood JB collaboration "Night Drive." She contributed background vocals to Cole's chart-topping 4 Your Eyez Only and opened for Cole during the rapper's extensive 2017 tour in support of the album. Read more @All Music.com (Click Here)

(From All Music.com-Marcy Donelson) A purveyor of dusky, yearning keyboard pop, Chappell Roan is a singer and songwriter based in Los Angeles. Her debut EP, School Nights, arrived on Atlantic in 2017, and she had a streaming smash with "Pink Pony Club" in 2020. She went the independent route for subsequent releases, including 2022's "Naked in Manhattan" and "Feminomenon."

My Kink is Karma
Born Kayleigh Rose Amstutz in Willard, Missouri, in 1998, she started taking piano lessons as a preteen as well as teaching herself to play along by ear to her favorite records. She was also a member of her school choir. After Roan won a school talent show in the eighth grade, her mother encouraged her to perform around town, and she soon began posting her music online. Still going by her given name, Kayleigh Rose, she visited New York City in 2015 for label showcases, and on the strength of the single "Die Young" ended up signing with Atlantic Records as a junior in high school. (From all Music.com-Heather Phares) Starting out as a hardcore punk-and rap-influenced outfit, Papa Roach eventually grew into a straight-ahead hard rock ensemble with strong metal leanings and a knack for pairing uncompromising power with pop acumen. Emerging in the mid-'90s, the group broke big in 2001 with the release of their sophomore effort and major-label debut, Infest, which went triple platinum on the strength of "Last Resort," a single inspired by nu-metal and hip-hop. A move toward a rock-forward style on lovehatetragedy (2002) and Getting Away with Murder (2004) did little to hurt them commercially (the former went gold and the latter went platinum), and by the time of the release of their ninth and tenth albums, 2017's industrial metal-tinged Crooked Teeth and 2019's Who Do You Trust?, the Grammy-nominated group had sold over 20 million albums and outlived virtually all of their alt-metal contemporaries. In 2022, they returned with their 11th album, Ego Trip.

Falling in Reverse
(From All Music.com-Falling in Reverse) From its origins in a Nevada jail cell, post-hardcore outfit Falling in Reverse went on to achieve significant success in the 2010s. Fronted by former Escape the Fate frontman Ronnie Radke, the band notched a gold record on their first attempt with 2011's The Drug in Me Is You. Over the ensuing years, Radke and stalwart guitarist Derek Jones led Falling in Reverse through numerous lineups and a succession of consistently charting albums including 2015's Just Like You and 2017's Coming Home.

(From All Music.com-Mark Deming) A New York-based hardcore trio who augment their minimal bass-and-drums assault with samples, electronic manipulation, and the occasional report of a banjo, Show Me the Body are musical activists dedicated to protecting the people and culture of their community as well as the city's underground music scene. The hard impact of their music is paired with lyrics that speak out against political repression and the culture of hate. Initially attached to New York's Letter Racer collective, they released a series of critically acclaimed EPs and albums, including 2016's full-length Body War, which netted them a deal with Loma Vista. Over the next several years, Show Me the Body released a handful of small releases and began a community effort called Corpus, which is centered around collaboration within their musical neighborhood. After producing music for several other Corpus artists, they returned with 2019's socially conscious Dog Whistle, and added greater electronic textures on 2022's Trouble the Water.
Show Me The Body
Loose Talk
Taking their name from the legal term "corpus delicti," the first lineup of Show Me the Body featured Julian Cashwan Pratt on lead vocals and banjo, Harlan Steed on bass and sampler, and Gabriel Millman on drums and sampler. The group's story began when Pratt and Steed were both students at Elisabeth Irwin High School, a progressive school in Manhattan.
