Drew Holcomb’s songs have always charged his listeners’ hearts and minds while inspiring them to think, feel, dance, and love. But with his new album, Dragons, his subject material finds the singer using a finer brush and mixing more of the joys, struggles, and specific moments of his own life than ever before to help him paint his masterpieces and connect with fans on a universal level. October 10th-13th, 2019

This will be the last year the Houston Open will be played in Humble, TX.

The 2019 edition of the Houston Open is the first of a five-year agreement between the PGA TOUR and the Houston Astros Foundation. The tournament will move to Memorial Park Golf Course next October after the course finishes at $13.5-million renovation. ... The Houston Open was long known as the pre-Masters tune up, but this year it moves to the fall for the first time. It remains to be seen if the course will be set-up as it has been in the past (as comparable as possible to Augusta National). … After 2018’s edition, there has now been a playoff 24 out of 73 times at the Houston Open. Only the U.S. Open has had more playoffs on the PGA TOUR. …There are a ton of Texas connections in the field at the Houston Open including university alums and locals with Texas ties. Multi-time TOUR winner Jhonattan Vegas, Beau Hossler and Kramer Hickok went to the University of Texas and Scottie Scheffler (the Korn Ferry Tour’s top golfer for 2019) is a Dallas resident.

Stand-up comedian/actor Eric Andre makes his way to the University of Houston campus this weekend (Saturday, October 12, 2019).

Andre is the creator, host, and co-writer of The Eric Andre Show on Adult Swim (Cartoon Network), played Mike on the FXX series Man Seeking Woman, and voiced Azizi in the 2019 live action remake of The Lion King.

The Adult Swim late-night show parodies low-budget public-access programs and brings the talk genre to another level -- not in a good way. It features interviews with celebrities -- some really are, and others are impersonators -- and what producers describe as "extreme real-life weirdos" interspersed with "deranged" man-on-the-street segments and just general chaos in the studio. Working with André is apathetic sidekick Hannibal Buress, who serves as the straight man to the hyperactive host.

Three decades into an illustrious and multifaceted career, Kevin Griffin finally decided to write and record his very first full-length solo album Anywhere You Go. This weekend he is in the Heights.
The Better Than Ezra frontman, award-winning songwriter, and Pilgrimage Festival co-founder has added yet another persona to his resume: solo troubadour. Buoyed by minimal production, sweeping vocal harmonies, and narrative lyricism, he’s penned some of his most intimate, inimitable, and irresistible tunes to date.

“My guiding rule was to do something different…” says Griffin from his home in Franklin, TN. “…to just do the opposite of my first instinct. I wanted to bring all the music that I’m moved by into a collection of songs that didn’t pull from my usual bag of tricks. I started with no expectations, considerations, or concessions other than just wanting to make music that I loved, and I think because of that the whole process has been a joy.
