Baby Shark Live!, a brand new live show from the creators of PJ Masks, will swim into Smart Financial Centre on October 11th with TWO shows (2pm and 6PM).

Baby Shark and his friend, the young fox Pinkfong, will sing and dance along to their signature hit as well as a many other new and classic songs, including “Five Little Monkeys,” “Wheels on the Bus,” “Jungle Boogie” and “Monkey Banana Dance.”

Baby Shark Live! will take kids on an adventure to find new friends, both by land and by sea, taking families in the audience on that journey with them. The show is aimed at preschool age kids as young as two years old and will feature a ten person cast, large video component with an educational theme that includes counting, colors and the ABCs as well as a lot of singing and dancing with kids having a great time!

Starring award winning dancers from China and Houston, the 14th annual Splendid China will feature all new choreography in an international collaboration between the dancers from China’s top-ranking companies and Dance of Asian America! Splendid China 14 will show audiences all that the vast country of China has to offer in culture, tradition, history, and varying lifestyles of numerous ethnic minorities. Chinese dance dates back over 5,000 years reflecting the history, traditions, and customs of China and each of its 56 ethnic sub-regions. The most recent and award winning choreography from China will be presented by national/international guest artists from the Shanghai and Beijing Dance Company as well as amazing local dancers from DAA’s top 4 performing companies. Dance of Asian America is a not-for-profit organization promoting and preserving the rich cultural heritage of China through authentic Chinese dance. In doing so, DAA sustains traditions, builds international ties, educates Houstonians in cross-cultural understanding, and fosters new generations of professional artists. This will be the last year the Houston Open will be played in Humble, TX.

The 2019 edition of the Houston Open is the first of a five-year agreement between the PGA TOUR and the Houston Astros Foundation. The tournament will move to Memorial Park Golf Course next October after the course finishes at $13.5-million renovation. ... The Houston Open was long known as the pre-Masters tune up, but this year it moves to the fall for the first time. It remains to be seen if the course will be set-up as it has been in the past (as comparable as possible to Augusta National). … After 2018’s edition, there has now been a playoff 24 out of 73 times at the Houston Open. Only the U.S. Open has had more playoffs on the PGA TOUR. …There are a ton of Texas connections in the field at the Houston Open including university alums and locals with Texas ties. Multi-time TOUR winner Jhonattan Vegas, Beau Hossler and Kramer Hickok went to the University of Texas and Scottie Scheffler (the Korn Ferry Tour’s top golfer for 2019) is a Dallas resident.
