[From All Music.com-Matt Collar] An inventive singer, songwriter, and rapper, Binki fuses hip-hop, indie rock, and funk into his own quirky brand of bedroom-style pop. He released his debut EP, Motor Function, in 2021, followed by Antennae in 2023.

Rocket Ship

Born Baraka Ongari in Pennsylvania, Binki initially became interested in acting as a teenager. After high school, he studied theater at the University of North Carolina. It was there that he taught himself how to play guitar. He eventually began writing songs, drawing upon an array of influences, including Childish Gambino, Pink Floyd, Tyler, The Creator, and David Bowie, among others. He began posting them online and in 2018 released the song "Marco" on streaming services. It gained him a following and helped land him a label deal with Fader. In 2021, he released his debut EP Motor Function, which included the singles "Clay Pigeon" and "Landline," the latter of which appeared in the video game FIFA 22. Binki kicked off 2023 with the singles "Hotel Window" and "Rocket Ship" ahead of the arrival of his sophomore EP, Antennae, later that year. Read more @All Music.com (Click Here)

Tyler Halverson
@Armadillo Palace

Friday 7/14/2023 9:00 PM

[From Tyler Halverson.com] Born and raised in the tiny town of Canton, SD (pop. 3054), Tyler Halverson isn’t just any cowboy. He’s got the hat and the boots, but he also plays a mean guitar and writes an even meaner tune. He has no problem bouncing around the country chasing adventure (or a girl), and is telling his different kind of cowboy tale with his self-described “Amerijuana Music,” bridging honest storytelling with songcraft inspired by country powerhouses Garth Brooks, George Strait, and Hayes Carll as much as Boyz II Men, Taking Back Sunday, and The Used.

Tyler Halverson
Cut You Loose

Halverson fell in thrall to music at an early age, receiving his first guitar while in middle school. A local bluegrass festival convinced him to focus on music, throwing down at 4H and FFA festivals before heading to Nashville to attend the prestigious Belmont University. Upon graduation, he decided to hit the road and spent an extended run traveling around South Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming, all the while writing and playing his songs on social media. Halverson’s original approach caught fire with a string of independent releases including “Beer Garden Baby,” “Mac Miller,” and “Your Bar Now” (with Kylie Frey), amassing tens of millions of streams. Now, with his Atlantic Records debut singles “Cut You Loose” and “Her,” Tyler Halverson is eager to take the next step on what has already proven an amazing journey.

Meat N' Bone

Vicetone
@NOTO Houston

Friday 7/14/2023 10:00 PM

[From All Music.com-Paul Simpson] Dutch EDM duo Vicetone are equally comfortable crafting cinematic instrumentals and vocal-driven club anthems, transitioning from their early DJ days as a remix act to producing their own club hits for labels like Spinnin' and Ultra Records in the mid-2010s. Working with vocalists like Kat Nestel on 2015's "Nothing Stopping Me" and Cozi Zuehlsdorff on the 2016 hit "Nevada," Vicetone became a festival favorite with major appearances at Miami's Ultra Music Festival, and headlined their own tours around the world.

Vicetone
Something Strange

Victor Pool and Ruben den Boer, friends since childhood, began producing dance music in their tiny home studio in rural Netherlands. Their melodic, bright-eyed tracks caught the attention of dance labels such as Monstercat, which issued their debut single, "Harmony," in 2012. Having already remixed hits by Adele, Maroon 5, and Calvin Harris, the duo made an easy transition to producing tracks with vocalists, starting with "Heartbeat" featuring Collin McLoughlin, which came out in 2013. Several more well-received singles followed, and Vicetone toured with Nicky Romero that summer and Australian duo Nervo in the fall. They released tracks on labels like Spinnin' Records, Revealed Records, and Ultra Records in 2014, in addition to performing at the Ultra Music Festival and TomorrowWorld Festival.
