[From All Music.com-Matt Collar] Singer Peyton Parrish is known for his throaty brand of Viking-inspired country and post-grunge, as well as his inventive cover tunes. He garnered viral fame in 2020 with his cover of the Assassin's Creed Valhalla video game song "My Mother Told Me," which was included in the TV show Vikings. That same year, he released his debut album, Cowboy Man, featuring the single "Ragnarök." He has continued to explore a mix of heavy metal, country, and Viking traditions on releases such as 2021's Rise of Vikingr and 2023's inspired Disney covers album The Most Magical Album on Earth.
Born in 1996 in Washington, D.C., Parrish moved with his family to Los Angeles, where he became interested in music while still in high school. He eventually moved back to Washington and earned his bachelor's degree. After college, he began posting a mix of cover songs and originals online. He also released several EPs including 2019's Vaccine and Thank God for You. By 2020, he had amassed a considerable online following, garnering viral attention for his cover of the Assassin's Creed Valhalla video game song "My Mother Told Me." Based on the Icelandic poem Egil's Saga, the song garnered Parrish yet more attention after it was featured on the television show Vikings.
THOR - Peyton Parrish (Skalds of Metal Album) Viking Metal
In 2020, he released his debut full-length album, Cowboy Man, which included the track "Ragnarök," as well as a cover of the Cranberries song "Zombie." The equally Viking- and metal-core-inspired Rise of Vikingr arrived in 2021, featuring guest spots by Lone Wolf and David Michael Frank. In 2023, Parrish applied his distinctive approach to a surprising album of Disney movie songs, The Most Magical Album on Earth, featuring selections from Mulan, The Lion King, Frozen, and more. Kidz Bop will be in Sugarland this weekend. The children's music group composes a music brand that produces family-friendly cover versions of pop songs and related media.
Kidz Bop releases compilation albums that feature children covering clean versions of contemporary pop songs that chart high on the Billboard Hot 100 or receive heavy airplay from contemporary hit radio stations several months ahead of each album's release. Kidz Bop releases censored and substitute profane lyrics, however, critics have commented that this does not necessarily remove the adult themes from the music.
The concept was developed by Razor & Tie co-founders Cliff Chenfeld and Craig Balsam and released its first entry back in 2001. Since its debut, Kidz Bop has sold over 21 million albums and has generated over 4.5 billion streams. Kidz Bop has expanded to include merchandise, music videos, a live touring division, and seeking talent search competitions.

[From Miller Outdoor Theatre] This dazzling performance takes a fresh look at the classic Peter Pan tale through the company’s signature athleticism, daring physicality, and theatrical whimsy.
Featuring the music of Two Star Symphony and Paying tribute to J.M. Barrie’s beloved story, performances on aerial silks and trapeze by Peter and Tink provide a magical approach to the story.
A multigenerational cast of dancers and aerialists, featuring the ODP professional company and ODP2 (pre-professional dancers ages 14-18), sets the ingenuity and imagination of children at the heart of this performance for family audiences.
